What if I were to die…

If I were to die today,
Would you remember me?
Knowing what my brown eyes see?

If I were to die today,
Would you know that I loved you?
Gazing only at your eyes so blue?

If I were to die today,
Would you be able to comprehend?
Why my life came to an end?

If I were to die today,
Would you know my name?
Saying it without any shame?

If I were to die today,
Would you love me anyway?
Knowing full well the price I had to pay?

If I were to die today,
Would you just hold me in your arms?
And say, “I love you, too.”
