Wouldn’t I rather study her… of course I would and I did but I was never really allowed to; don’t they say ignorance is bliss? I was ignorant when it came to love and this girl kept me in the dark forever and when I finally saw the light it was oblivion.
If only love were textbook stuff
An easy course not so rough
I could study I could last
100% percent I could pass
And graduate dream come true
The type of guy to be with you
But this love’s not in a book
I wish it were I’d take a look
If only love were textbook stuff
I’d learn it all, never enough
To know the way I could touch
Your hand, your lips, all over much
Within your heart be on your mind
To study you would be sublime
But this love takes more than school
I am the dunce a lonely fool

Never cheat, never bluff
I would be the teacher’s pet

Desdemona to Othello
I would be a better fellow
My love for you is not enough
