students would ask for teachers’ autographs

objects touched, signed, & used by famous teachers would be sold on e-bay

Time magazine would list teachers’ birthdays

there would be more biographies written about teachers than athletes

newspapers would carry a separate Education section

the Sports section would be one-page fillers before the Classifieds

teachers would be treated as professionals
