Our ideas of forever are rather strangely alike ,

but on the other hand so dramatically different .

We start off with the basics of what forever means,

then unexpectantly you are twisting up its meaning.

Forever doesn’t mean sharing yourself with others,

letting your fingers on the keyboard do your talking.

The women on the computer don’t know your taken,

they only believe the words that you are only typing.

Forever doesn’t mean making big changes to suit you,

doesn’t it count that I love you for who you are today?

But you want all of these changes to be one sided also,

why should I have to make them and you not make any?

Forever doesn’t mean that you own me or is my master,

you have no papers on me to control my future or me.

A relationship is supposed to have two equal partners,

but I know I would be on the losing end of this merger.

Forever doesn’t mean you can break marriage vows,

sleep with other women just because you wanted to.

You say marriage vows don’t apply to you and only me,

but you are the out there cheating while I am at home

crying.

Forever doesn’t mean taking away from me who I am.

you told me long ago you like a strong independent wife.

Stand by your side in public but be submissive in the bed,

then how come lately I cant do no right with either in your

dark brown eyes?

Forever doesn’t mean pulling me away from friends or my

family,

they are not going to pull me away from you now or never.

On that hot August day I forever pledged my life with just

you,

but its wrong that you don’t want me to see friends or my

family either.

But it seems that you don’t have forever in mind after all,

just doing what a player does well with a wedding ring on.

You want your cake and ice cream rolled all into one pan,

not realizing that you are hurting the woman that loves you.

So when you get back home and thinking you did not get

caught,

you will find your beloved wife has had enough and left.

Giving you time to clear your head on what you really want,

is it me or all the women on the street you have slept with?

But one day if you ever find you have forever in mind  again,

walk the right path that a married couple in love should walk.

Sleep only in my bed and don’t let your fingers do the talking,

i will hold my tongue as we attempt to put everything right

again.

For your beautiful wife loves you more then you will ever know,

she took those vows and meant them for the rest of our lives.

Willing to forsake any other man but you in her lonely bedroom,

stand by your side in public and submit to you in sensual matters.
