I may not be much to look at

With a body that lies somewhere between thin and fat.

I’m no longer a man full of excitement.

And, when it comes to you, I’m probably your exact opposite.

But, if you give me your heart exclusively.

You’ll see I’ll protect it faithfully.

I’ll be the man who goes to bed with you each night

Just because he’s glad he gets to hold you tight.

I’ll get you a heating pad when you get cold.

And, when we grow gray, you’ll still be beautiful to me; you’ll never be too old.

I’m the type of person who is exactly what he seems

And I may never become the man of your dreams.

I may never have lots of money.

And, when it comes to making you laugh, well, I’m really not that funny.

But, if you give me your heart unconditionally

You’re giving it to someone who wants you endlessly.

I’ll stand beside you with absolute loyalty

And I’ll make sure to spend each day treating you like royalty.

If you give me your heart, you’ll never have to worry about me breaking it.
