Infancy to grown-up.
As new years approach us,
Signs of beginning appear;
In simple sparkles of the sun,
Memories come of early years.
In the blowing of soft winds,
Or the sun’s ray on the snow,
A passing moment often comes over us,
Remembered scenes from the past
A strange moment, but partially familiar,
That uncultured mind once knew,
Will be pulled back, by fresher knowledge,
Often they flash, with unfamiliar kind.
