Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon…hopefully.

I said to him, a friend of mine,

I will be gone for a while.

I do not know when I may return.

I do not know if I would return.

I for-see the barriers ahead of me.

My life’s taken a bend, so unexpectedly.

Instead of consoling him, I think the words pierce

But he knows me well, I talk the truth.

I said to him, a friend of mine,

I will be gone for a while.

I will think of him and keep locked the feeling

Of missing him and wanting to talk to him.

I will finish this undertaking as fast as I could.

I may be gone for days, for weeks perhaps.

I do not know when I may return,

I do not know if I would return.

Although I want to, this position…

Is not in my control, not in my hands.

I shall however, miss my dear friend and also find

Another way to communicate and turn back time.

When there were no troubles or responsibilities,

As we chatted away to an endless stance,

Miles apart in two separate worlds.

His intellect and appreciation carving a path.

Like a secret alley or hangout only we know exists.

Like little children meeting up late afternoons…

Looking forward to that time of the day,

When we catch up on everything and all things around

As the time reaches the end, we find we still have loads to talk

Loads to take off our shoulders and help each other to walk.

I said to him, a friend of mine,

I will be gone for a while.

I do not know when I may return.

I do not know if I would return.

My silence does not mean I’ve forgotten

Like children do, wait for me at our secret alley,

I will be back, although I’m not sure,

I do think of you, as I walk this path called life.

Wait for me..I will be gone for a while.
