Protect you from the danger that sadly took away your life

I wish that things were different, like how days turned into nights

I’d write to you these words, which now fill up my aching heart

Just to make you realise how special you were, from the very start

Your laughter, your joy and warmth remains forever inside my mind

I’m now faced with life without you but I still thank god I am alive

So I’m able to send you this message from the hole left in my heart

These words I wished I had said to you right from the very start

Please remember I’ll always be here no matter come rain or shine

For that shoulder to lean on I’ll be waiting patiently for you until I die

For the special person who was my one and only true friend

Your spirit may now rest in peace, till the day we meet again

You have now reached the end of all the pain and suffering

Finally you’re free and able to spread your beautiful wings

Flying up through the sky until you reach the heavens above
