Do not be afraid. Find what is real. And never let go.

You are that whisper in the wind,

that gives me chills,

while I stop and hark.

The shadow lurking everywhere,

That haunts me,

in the abashed dark.

The spider crawling down my leg,

while I try to sleep.

I scratch to no avail.

The scream heard among the silence,

while I walk alone,

down the winding trail.

The man I thought I dreamt of,

but soon realized I’m,

Incapable of loving.

A distant brush upon my skin,

You are my imagination.

You are nothing.

    There’s a sense of creepiness in there. I thought it’s about a stalker…

To me, it seems like you are picking your way through the mental web-scape of a dream-catcher; intriguing images, and things you can’t quite reach. Far out.

I really liked this piece! I think the ending really set it off “You are my imagination. You are nothing.”

I actually read this aloud to someone as well and she said it reminded her of actual people in her life and past.
