Assurance that I am always there… Never give up hope…
When the world seems cold and dank and grey,
All good cheer seems so far away.
Close your eyes and remember me,
I am everywhere, so wild and free.
When you see faces that you cannot trust,
Don’t let your inner faith turn to dust.
I will come for you and hold you with care,
Remember, my dear I’m always there.
When you hear voices that make you cry,
Don’t let it bring you down asking questions why.
I will rock you and cradle you in my strong arms,
Shield you from danger and any other harms.
When people you love and trust, you betray,
Forgive forever as they don’t know what they do or say.
They know what goes on in their inner heart,
Pray for them always that their peace won’t part.
When feet that you trust start to lead you astray,
Look at life’s map and gently turn away.
I will guide you with a lamp to see,
All you need to do is trust in me.
When you feel tired, weak and forlorn,
Remember that you are never alone.
Just call my name and I’ll be There,
To nurture and nourish you with utmost care.
