I’m Taking a Break

I shall be taking a rest from Triond for a few weeks to recharge the batteries and enjoy some of the summer weather. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their continuing support. I really appreciate it and will be back soon.

The warm summer days are calling me

To spend time in the great outside,

Observing all the beauties of nature

Which make me feel so alive.

I need to leave the computer behind

And enjoy some time in the sun,

Renewing a weary body and soul

Before the days of summer are gone.

My brothers and I will paying a visit

To our aging mother in Italy.

She longs to see her children each year

As she misses us all so dearly

We will hop on a bus to nearby towns

And stroll along ancient streets,

Absorbing the sights and the history

Which for us would be a real treat.

There is so much I want to do and see

So from writing I’m taking a rest,

And if I’m not around on Triond for a while

I’ll see you when summer’s past its best.

I’ve never been able to take a break from writing. Everytime I go off to take a break, my mind comes up with stuff to write.

I always feel depressed when my friends take a long break as I will miss them very much, that’s me, I can’t hide that sad feeling, but I always agree that it’s good to recharge the batteries, and most importantly, you are visiting your mum, which I 100% agree you should, please proceed and have a good holiday, come back here as soon as you can. Hey CR…hope you get to read this before to shut off your computer for the summer…Hope you enjoy the leave and that you have a great time visiting with family and friends in Italy and wherever else you travels may take you. Hope your material stays safe while you are away…I was shocked to see that one of the people who have actually commented in response to THIS poems has actually posted one of their poems among my published material here on Triond…found it when I was transferring stuff to another site…pretty sloppy stuff if a person’s own published work can end up displaying someone else’s material…Anyway, have a great holiday and maybe when you get back you can post on that other site…Thanks and take care…Love Me
