A poem.

Alone, I curl my body

into the imagined

impression and warmth

of your place beside me.

Breathe deep

the non-existant scent

of your skin

on flannel sheets

I share

with air

and light

but not

tonight.

For now, my mind

pulls you here

in spirit,

intangible.

But somehow

inescapable.
