When father’s not around.

Your imaginary friend

He is an inspiration

Swelling your small mind

With built-up aspiration

I wonder what he looks like

For he’s invisible to me

Is he smaller than a peanut?

Or taller than an oak tree?

Imaginary friend,

Provide him with protection

Watch over my dear son

And give him some affection

Imaginary friend,

Will you buy him his first kite?

Show him how to catch a ball?

Will you sing to him tonight?

Oh, imaginary friend

You’ve made my son so glad

Fixing his poor broken heart

You’re the imaginary dad

Four kids, wow. I have two and I am loving it,but sometimes kids drive me crazy. This is such a cool poem. It’s very touching. I love to write poetry as well just to get my thoughts and feelings out. I shared this one on my Facebook.

One can easily feel the depth of feelings. Nicely composed.
