New Poem.

Of all the places I’d rather be,

Please oh please for me, a library

With great stories of old

And new ones waiting to be told

In shelves neatly packed

And bookcases, with endless books stacked

Smile as I might

At this beautiful sight

Run my fingers over the spines

Each story soon to be mine

A memory of a sword fight

A child playing with a kite

A couple’s dance in the dark

Or some new facts on sharks

Each book brings a smile

Imagination, well only for a little while

I used to love going to the library, but in recent years I’ve found myself buying as much as borrowing.

I still love going to libraries where there\’s a whole world to discover, apart from peace and quiet. Good poem. Thanks for sharing!
