There are a number of simple tips for interview which can make it a little easier to get the job you are looking for. These are some pretty basic tips for interviews, but they will make sure you give yourself a good chance in any job interview.
Do Look smart – it doesn’t matter if you hope to become a plummer or nuclear physicist, spare some time to make sure you look your best. I don’t mean if you happen to have a spiky punk haircuit it has to go, but any employer will be worried if you don’t look like you take care of yourself – if your image is not important to you, how will you represent their company well? And Before you go into the interviewer’s office a couple of deep breathes. This will allow you to be more natural and more yourself. Don’t treat it like a life or death situation. This is a feeling out phase and if you are yourself it will go fine. Also remember, you can do everything right and still not get the job. In the end it comes down to the hiring manager and what they feel is a great fit for the team.
A lot for interviewees show up for the interview ill prepared because they do not know anything about that company, which can add to the anxiety of the interview. Look at the different links and do a little research, it will help when the interviewer asks you the dreaded; do you have any questions for me.Try to find as much information as possible about the company. The more you know about the company the better it is for you, search their website and any other info you can find on the internet about the company. Do not be impressed if the company is large size it is still run by people like you with may be more experience and qualifications. If you become too impress you will not be able to perform well during the interview. Get digging – the company will give you a big clue as to what they want in both their literature and job description. Especially if there is a section called “key competencies” or something similar. Read these and have a think about how you can match up to what they want.
