About lost love and departing.
3 o’ clock in the afternoon
The cream colored strip
Of the beach before me
Naked to the hip
Making unrestricted love
Wind and wave play
The warmth of the white sand
The coolness of the frothy spray
In their aboriginal dance
The palm trees sway
Impressing the Solar Godess
Who salutes us with her last rays
Footsteps in the graying sand
Animals, Birds, Humans, Unknowns
The seagulls scream their final screams
Before they rest in their humble thrones
The wind teases her chrome hair
As it lashes out in violent defence
She bathes in the last rays of the sun
While I bathe in her presence
Hugging her exquisite bosom
Still as a sculptures dream
Yet, a shameless tear does roll down
Betraying the veneer of raised self-esteem
The white salwaar clings and ripples
To her gorgeous curved existense
Motionless, as a granite effigy
Yet, tormented by an inner storm, so intense
Why? A question all to familiar
To both of our tormented souls
Confusion…the basis of our bond
High Tide, the waves have begun to roll
Like dazed zombies would blindly battle
The waves thrash about in stubborn violence
As the moon seduces them with her pull
Our silhouttes gaze in the lonely silence
Little Lady, if I had the might
I would mortgage this universe
For your one moment of sadness
Presently, make do with this impotent verse
