Another abuse poem but this one was too close to home I know both ladies and this one is all to real.

This is written in loving memory of
Teresa {Barringer} Stoffer
Died of gun shot wounds on 04-07-02
We Love You and will miss you "Terry "

And we always pray for the loved ones left behind who still have to deal with this on a day to day basis.

It was a day like any other,
She was happy and feeling gay.
There was no way to know,
Her life would end today.
~
She was sitting home all alone,
Her best friend lived across the way.
They were at their own trailers,
Enjoying the quiet of the day.
~
They had both left abusive spouses,
And where trying to move on.
How would anyone know,
In a blink of an eye her life would be gone.
~
Her Friends husband pulled up,
With thought of killing his wife.
Without giving it another thought,
He pulled his gun and took her best friends life.
~
Her Friend looked out the window,
As all of this went down.
She heard her husband shoot his gun,
She seen her best friend hit the ground.
~
Now she will have to live with the memory,
The memory of this day.
The day her husband shot his gun,
And took her friend away.

That’s a sad story. It happens all too often. I’m sorry it happened in your life.

Tragic…. I am so sorry you had to experience anything like this. Here’s hoping and praying that those left behind can heal.

    A tragic story, Collette.
