This poem is about faith and how it can lead us through the darkness.

In My Darkest Hours
God my Creator, even in my darkest hours, when pain was consuming me, when my heart was so heavy that I could barely breathe, I knew that you were carrying me. I felt you there with me every step of the way. Each moment, even through my pain I felt your presence.
Holding onto my faith every moment, keeping hope alive in my heart, I knew that I would get though it and that your light would always be there to lead the way.
Every day I saw evidence that you were there. I saw miracle upon miracle appear. Your love was so evident to me and I could feel it surrounding me.
You never left me for one moment and I know that you never will. My heart is overwhelmed with gratefulness to you. I could never thank you enough for what you have done for me.
I can only hope that my gratefulness is evident in my life, that each day you will look upon me and see my faith, that my life will be a service to you and to all of your children, and that with your love in my heart I will shine.
