The hardest part was seeing my mother cry.

I remember when
I was a little girl
You flicked a ladybug
Off my little knee
When I was frightened

I remember when
Knocking on your door
Tears flowing freely
For losing my way home
But remembering yours

I remember when
You came to visit
Your lilting laughter
Filling my little heart
With joy so precious

I remember when
Seeing my mother cry
My heart crumbling
Hearing the heartbreak
Of your sudden passing

I remember you
My dear sweet grandma
A petite woman
Much stronger than I
Much braver than I

I remember you
My dear sweet grandma
Your warm smile shining
Forever burning
In my memory

This was very moving and touching. What a coincidence today, that one of my very dear friends and faithful readers here would write about the passing of someone special in their lives, too.

Thanks so much for sharing and showing us this side of you.

Lovely tribute Lady! I was very close to my Grandma too. She looks at me from a picture as I type.

The loss of someone we love or the loss of someone that is loved is always a tragedy. How sad.
