Chipmunks articles brought back a memory from my elementary school days when we ate Ostrich and Emu eggs.

This isn’t me trying to Emu–late Chipmunk :-)

I have eaten the egg of an Emu
Surprisingly it wasn’t much of a surprise
Although green in color and slightly odd
Especially because of its size
We scrambled it up with some milk
and salt
Then fried it in a hot pan
Then served it up with some Texas toast
and some potted meat from a can

    Very clever; word phonetics are the greatest aren’t they!? Lines 2-4 sound like lyrical rhythm…i like that!

    I like playing with how a word starts off instead of how it ends and what plausible relationship emerges rhyme scheme wise as I put it together with another word that starts off similarly or at least with the same tone or letter.

    Greenish blue sorta, kinda D1dezire. I am sure you could find a picture online somewhere if you want to see one. The shell is green; not the egg inside.
