Poem:

There are sweeping changes everywhere

Toward an easier, better living,

Technology being widely giving;

Yet there are burdens hard to bear;

Stronger is the need for striving,

While, indeed, estranged are those

Deprived of comfort and repose.

Much like the astral bodies high

That merit great, celestial worth,

Are millions of terrestrial birth

That multiply as time goes by,

But never shine upon this earth.

And so it is, so shall it be,

In spite of man’s technology.
