A poem about the future of our civilization as a whole as we move towards a world of technology and of the downfalls on the dependency on robots.

In the future I can see

Robots rowing across the sea

Full of feelings, and with glee

They row their boats along with me

I watch their movements, so in sync

It amazes me as to how they think

I watch their oars as they sink

They fix any problem in a blink

They always seem to be in position

As if they are soldiers on a mission

They seem to have an intuition

To be able to make the right decision

They are sent on the most dangerous missions

To deliver food & fuel to soldiers of our nation

Inspecting roadside bombs without any hesitation

They play a great role in our salvation

As their devious plans start to take hold

I’m scared to think how the future unfolds

Robots start to get a firm foothold

Who would’ve thought they would be so bold

People start to lose control

Robots move towards their goal

Human trust is what they stole

The evil Robots have no soul

Their intelligence obvious by their grins

All of their grand plans held within

They turn on us and start their sins

Armed with knowledge that they will win

The humans are in disbelief

Robots being the cause of their grief

In control of the Commander in Chief

With no hope in sight for any relief

The world around us burns in flames

For Robots it’s nothing but a game

Our scientists must take the blame

As their creations commit acts of shame

Their metal bodies now lukewarm

They begin to seek out any life form

Their good intentions begin to deform

Determined to wipe out anyone warm

Robots come to a different conclusion

The humans cowering in confusion

Governments order people to come out of seclusion

Claiming the Robot’s threat is just an illusion

In the future I can see

Robots capturing humans as they flee

Torturing them as they plea

I hope I am wrong about what I foresee
