The meaninglessness of socialising.

I nearly fall asleep
When you speak

I feel something drift inside me
As I struggle
So hard sometimes
To keep focus

I want
To smash my dreams against the wall
For you to see

But I drift off…
I drift off…

And…

I try
To keep myself swimming above the surface of the water

But
Deep in the depths
I see myself from above
And I want to go back home

I want to dive all the way
Down
Leaving you behind
Until the water becomes the sky
And I fly
Away

Ah the dichotomy of relationships… can’t live with ‘em or … or…or something. Nice work.

You may be bored comatose by insipid babble, but if you pay enough attention to know the depths of the ocean as well as the heights of heaven, then I think you have a grasp on what’s important.

This one has an interesting construction which really matches the subject. Fantashtish!
