Just thoughts in regards to today. Food for thought.
We fought for our freedom from tyranny in 1776
We fought for equal rights, right down to the sticks
and yet oppression still remains
for the almighty dollar appears to reign
shops and businesses galore
once thriving, shut their doors
jobs are scarce
schools a mess
it is no wonder the country is in distress
People who desire to work cannot find jobs
those lucky few who do find work
are slave labor for slobs
Working for peanuts used to be fine
no health care, no food
no class refine
Small business loans for foreigners
no benefits unless of Indian descent
American Native, by government design
no where to call home, save the divine
Born on American Soil only partial generation
The only place I call home
is in degradation
As history repeats, and freedoms outlawed
the elderly are locked away because of flaws
No one has time to care for their own
and one by one
they become mere drones.
