This is a poem of loss, lies, deception, and of course infidelity. A cheating husband, his daughter trying to do the right thing even when nobody believes her, and his wife trying to cope with the situation.

Fourteen years old and nobody believes her.

Her father is a good man, a real over achiever.

But she saw what she saw, her eyes didn’t deceive her.

The women with her father didn’t look familiar.

Everyone else was blind, they didn’t see he was a cheater.

But she did it, she opened their eyes.

The look her father got now wasn’t respect it was despise.

Her mother fell to her knees and began to cry.

She looked up at her husband screaming, and asking why.

But no words came out of his mouth only a sigh.

She asked how could you do this to me.

We have been together so long what about our family.

He held his wife in his arms, whispering please don’t leave me.

She said its too late for that cant you see.

You need to pack your things and leave.
