Investigating the matters of the heart.

The affair itself is not to blame

A love child receives

  most of the disdain

Like a secrecy growing

Until the truth can be seen

It’s an ugly business

when he hides his dreams.

Years of eating mistrust

Results in a sickness

that never leaves.

Drawing lines in the sand

Outline where a body once laid

And crime scene tape

Keeps spectators at bay

All that’s left

Are innuendos and implications

A heart that’s broken twice

needs a thorough investigation

The matters of the heart are complicated. You managed to deeply immerse into this sphere in this piece.

If you manage to figure it all out during your investigation, let a sister know will ya? I have yet to understand any of it.
