sat there quietly

citing wisdoms in my head

existing as most others do

totally unaware

of the outside world

at times

stationed alone

inside a bottomless pit

with the horizon in my sight

but not really taking it all in

delicate as it may be

yet not understanding the consequences

of what could have been
