Instead of looking at what’s different,

Why no look at what’s in common

We all have something that’s the same

An enemy, a sickness that we all do share

As humans we all choose to love

But just like love we also hate

But so why is it that around all the corners in our lives

There’s someone mugging an old guy

Or across the seas in all direction

Why is it that there’s a war destroying an innocent country?

What is our fuel for this disease?

Or better yet… what is the cure?

I cannot answer that for you

Seeing as its different for every single person

The cure is neither a vaccine nor medication

It is something from within

And once we know what it is

Our mind so quickly stops fueling hate

And from its corps a flower grows

That flower’s name is peace and love

We all want to have our own

But it cannot live if the waters tainted by our hate

So cleanse your soul and your heart

Leave all the hate from your blood

Simply scream and yell at the wall

Until your hate is vaporized

And then you will see love in bloom around you

And go and spread this lovely joy

To those around you full of rage

And so as you did to them

They will go and spread it too..

It’s only natural for them to want

To make others feel the same

Or at least it’s something that we do

When blinded by our foolish cries

So drop your guns and lift those fingers

From the button to the missiles

And turn to the ones your fighting

And beat them with your hugs and laughter

Spread the joy that you crave

So that your kids will cultivate

The land and make the lovely flowers

Bloom from one side of the earth to the other

Don’t you worry about being judged

For it will only last a moment

Before you know it they will too

See from eyes anew

So as I said drop that knife and leave your hate

Within that knife so that no harm will come again

Give that poor old woman back her purse

And say you’re sorry with a hug

Forgive your brother for not believing in the same god as you

Cause in the end they’re all the same

So don’t you fight over silly things

And be adults like it should be

Set examples for those younger

That we’re all the same, even if we differ

Don’t look at others flaws,

But instead look at others advantages

And simply say you’re sorry

For any pain you may have caused

The thought of it will still be there

But you’re not looking into yesterday

Look into the future and know that peace will come

But only if you’re the first to put an end

So put your foot down

And don’t let others tell you other wise

If you want peace, then hate must pack its bags

And you must send it out the door

Welcome love into your heart

So that lovely flower will start to bloom

Love is the cure for our disease

It’s what will unite us in the end

And it’s strangely true

That just three worlds will change the world

The sooner you think and realize

You aren’t so different from your opposing foe

Violence is not the way

Cause all its does is make more hate

And then someone simple goes and blames

Someone else for what they did

It’s a never ending cycle

That unless its broken will destroy us

Someone has to stand and say

“I refuse to kill some more”

War is nothing more than a way

To make more money for those waging it

But people are blind and people are foolish

They are animals trained to destroy

But one of us will change the rest

And make them see from a human view

We cannot change the world until

We change the way we look at things

We will not change the world

Because first we must change ourselves

So instead of looking at what differs, let’s all look at what is common
