Despite the ego,and the shields that all humans walk around with in the public sphere, there are always other, sometimes contradictory thoughts lurking underneath. We all get insecure from time to time, and we all want others to care about us in some shape or form to which we all can connect through. This is a poem about an alienated soul in short terms.

Still present they are in my absence
While I am absent in their presence
If ill-prepared to fit the status-quo
One merely goes unnoticed
How can I react to no reaction?
I dare not swim in their rippled waters of sorrow
Sucking my air thin-all while paying me no mind
Though curious I would be just to know they were speaking of me
If this is so, care to mention my name at least?
After all, who wants to be talked about without validation?
Though to roam as one pleases and exist in silence
Could drive a mans feelings to a mixture of sorts
And to revel in a state of anonimity may seem all the allure
But if my matter cannot show, how can I show that I matter?
