Haunted by a distraction that only he can see.

Can’t think,
can’t perform and I’m
losing self-esteem
because it’s there.

Haunting in a cloak of invisibility,
it taunts loudly, blocking every thought.
No one else can hear it.
Prayer, happy memories, and projects
only remind me of the distractions

My only solution:
be a man
and deal with it
until the distraction passes.

Ken: Honestly Im not sure what it is. I think it’s anything that distracts you: guilty, worry, regrets, etc.
