Poetic retelling of Isaiah six.
Isaiah’s Vision
Isaiah 6:1-9
The seraphs stood above the throne,
And six wings had they all.
With twain each one hid shining face,
With twain did mark their standing place,
And answered to the call!
“Holy, holy, holy,
Is the Lord of Hosts.
The earth full of His glory,”
Their voice did fill the posts.
Then I admitted, “Woe is me.
These lips deserve no good to tell,
And in the midst of such I dwell.
The King, the Lord, mine eyes did see!
Then one of them unto me flew,
With coal too hot to touch with hand,
And placing it upon my mouth,
He badest me to understand!
And then I heard the Saviour’s voice.
Twas asking, “Go for us, who will?”
And just what I said I could not,
This He bid me do, go, tell!
