Appreciate those you love while you can.

I have so many quiet times told you I love you although it is true

that you do not know it

I have wished that I could Fatherly grab hold of you and in so doing simply show it

Could you learn to find forgiveness for your Father even though he always seem to blow it

So here I am writing you what I cannot say in person so I will try to

relate as a poet

All I want to do is repair our bond the one we are both so fond of

and really try to grow it

Break through the falsities, the less than niceties, hostilities, and pride

The feelings we pretend have died, we struggle to bury, ignore, put aside;

try to hide in our attempts to be stoic

Instead get back to the above rather than the anger that is boiling right below it

    Love is like fine crystal or china. It is delicate, beautiful and fragile and may shatter in a moment. Nice poem.

    I do understand, my second daughter and I have the type of relationship you have described. Patience and love is needed. Thank you for sharing.

    I feel these deep words. May God heal all your family relationships. As kids grow up, they start seeing things differently and understand you more.

    I once heard in order to be a good father you have to be a good son. Great poem and God Bless.

    I am unsure of this. I have a pretty good relationship with my mother, although I dont speak with my father; however this is by his choice, notmine.

    Interesting theory though.
