A childhood nightmare.

Darkness falls around like a veil,

And my heart thunders in fright.

Secrets I know Ill never tell,

Of frightful things that loom in the night.

Eyes closed tight trying to hide,

Knowing all the while IT will find me again.

Another torture I must abide,

No more crying, I must abstain.

My valor shall not waver,

While the rest of me I will yield.

This moment IT will savor,

Unaware of the fate IT has sealed.

One day I will face IT in the light,

Stronger than I was before.

No more will IT torment each night,

That day IT will deplore.
