Fairies, Fact or Fiction?, Re-connecting with childhood fantasies.

Well it began on a Monday morning, whilst I was away from work. I swear I saw a  pixie at play in the mud and the dirt. I called her into my parlour, just for a chat you understand. We drank tea, and, had scones for supper, as she brushed away the dirt.

On Tuesday I looked for my pixie, as we played hide and seek. Today we had bread and butter, with plenty of jam to eat! Wednesday I did my washing whilst pixie sat on my line, telling me lovely stories, turning reason into rhyme.

I knew it wouldn’t last too long, and wished that time stood still. I knew as well that the little folk really did not dwell, at the bottom of my garden beside my wishing well, just beneath the apple tree that reached out to greet the sun.

But I was getting older now, knew that the wee folk were not fact, I tried to shake the image off. I argued with pure fact. But as the sun was setting, my mind in one big whirl, I wandered down my garden path to glimpse that other place where fairies ruled the earth!

Wild weekends can cause fairy Mondays but fairies are fun to believe in whatever ones age.
