A poem about a girl’s most important thing in her life.
She wants to kill herself.
She’s 17 and has more confidence than any adult in the world. She wants to kill herself.
Can you wrap your head around it? Because I sure can’t. Every day it seems as if many can’t wrap their heads around it. But that’s no good. She hasn’t changed her opinion. She hasn’t changed her mind about ending it all.
She’s not really worried about the people around her because the people around her aren’t really worried about her through her eyes.
She may be right. But there is one person who cares. There always is.
She could go really far in this life, but she wants to kill herself.
Electrocution, drowning, jumping off a bridge, skydiving without a parachute, well, that works just fine, too.
Any day of the week, any day of the year.
It’s a done deal.
