A poem written for my friend, to help her through the long flight home from Australia.

It’s a long haul,
Her thoughts are a flutter; a thought oh just butta,
Flies in her mind…
“If I sit here any longer I surely might die”, but the thought gets stronger, & her feelings getting fonder,
Just above that cumulus nimbus, & up over yonder, where a young girl is waiting,
She can be home, not much longer,
Her family is waiting; will be lovingly embracing,
“Come on pilot, no time can be wasted, much haste in what is going on, back to my family I must stroll onto; the front door will tell you all,
Will it be the welcoming, I just done the time for? I must do, it I will,
Home again, & I tell you again is always the thrill,
That front door will be real!”
