It’s brilliant, they say
They turn a cheek,
They sometimes mimic what they seek

I merely notice and continue on my way

Across the street
I see a musician strumming
A familiar beat
I stop to admire
Mesmerized by the power
By the unique gift
And after a few, I shift
My position new.

It’s a new day
What brilliant colors
Does it hold for you,
You and you today?
