Its Just Enough

Another poem, that I wrote about my stepdaughter.

So everyday is not perfect

It should never be

But seeing the smile on your face

Is just enough for me.

The happiness you throw around

When all the world seems right

Makes me wonder

About all that I’ve done right.

Ten years I’ve sheltered you

Held you in my embrace

Wiped away your tears

And kissed the love upon your face.

From a little girl with ponytails

To a woman with flair

Thankful I’ve had the chance

A very sweet tribute poem for your stepdaughter. Some people just never realize until it’s too late, how precious those memories become once their grown and gone. I enjoyed this poem. well done
