Saturday morning
Peaceful for now
Though I’m expecting it to end
With a great big WOW!

The weather is gorgeous
Not too hot, not too cold
A perfect day for a party
As my niece turns 14 years old.

More shopping today!
Till cake and ice cream
Then a bonfire later on
With fireworks to make us scream.

The day will run into the night
The night till early morning hours
I know the day is going to be great
Yet I’ll still pray for no rain showers.

Though nothing can make this day be bad
As fun is planned throughout
Filled with laughter and lots of joy
For that’s what birthdays are all about!
