Time to wake up is a Poem that could perhaps describe a married couple or a couple in a relationship that has long gone sour. One of these people could have a drinking or drug problem or maybe anger problems that have destroyed the love that these two people once shared. One of these people may want to tell their spouce that life as they know it is finished and can’t find the right words to do so.
It’s Time to Wake Up
Wake up bud, its time you know
The hell we are going through,
The days you make us cry,
We often wonder why,
I hope you know what this means,
To be sad or angry without reason,
To wonder each and every day,
What brings this sadness and anger our way,
Wake up, if you love us with your heart,
Its time to let us know,
Before we go,
Out of your life forever,
No more sadness, no more tears,
No more wonderful years,
Wake up before it’s too late,
Do what you must,
Either with your heart,
Or with your mind that has chosen to hate,
This is the first day of the rest of your life,
It’s your choice the way you go,
But believe this from my heart to yours,
The day we walk out that door,
Our hearts will no longer be here to hold,
Cherish the moment,
Its soon time for us to go,
Wake up bud, before it’s too late,
Its time to show us how much you care,
If the time comes for us to leave,
Do believe,
The sadness in your heart,
Will be yours alone,
Because,
We will no longer live in this home.
