This is a forbidden love that is painful and can break a person’s spirit.

My heart is intertwined with gravity.

The heaviness is felt

throughout my entire body.

My emotions are deep,

and I sometimes can’t sleep.

Thoughts of you run rampant.

The breath in my gut feels resistant.

I can’t turn my back and walk away.

My mind tells me that I wouldn’t last a day.

You say our love cannot be,

but how can you not see,

what this is doing to me?

My heart feels as if it may burst.

I have searched, and searched, and searched

for the strings that lead to your heart.

Share your love with me,

and then tell me,

what it is that you see.

I would fight for the rights

to your very substance,

and do it without one ounce of reluctance.

Feel how my heart beats when you are near.

Can you feel what I am telling you?

Listen close, for you must hear.

It is painful knowing that you are there

and I am here.

Do not question, for I am sincere.

I have never felt this kind of pain,

and oh the pouring rain.

As I lie here, I can feel the rhythm

of each individual beat,

from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.

In the absence of your favor,

I feel torn like a sheet of paper.

Please don’t allow my sorrow to continue,

or establish this my appointed place of venue.

This is quite an impact statement on the attempts at restorative love…trust that the search for \\\\\\\”heart strings\\\\\\\” is fruitful. Great write…a bit of a painful read in that it tended to tug on my heartstrings. Thanks.
