A poem about the woods, nature and imagination.
In the sage field a lass plays her fiddle
Mesmerizing jack rabbits
Tantalizing sparrows
And giving the deer a headache
Roosted owls preen dusky feathers
Hoots echo through the forest
Caves vibrate with hanging bats
Wings spinning like propellers
Darkness drops like a heavy cloak
Encompassing the living forest
Sprites peek from behind every tree
Fairies dance around the fairy ring
The moon is made of yellow cheese
My mama told me and I believe
Mother Nature wears a crown of stars
Her jewels are daisies and wild mountain flowers
