Poem to jailbird, thug, low life who is a user and major moocher.

I wish I had never given you my note that day.

I thought you were wonderful and special in every way.

Little did I know what you were really all about.

The more I got to know you, the more I doubt.

Yet, for some reason, I still hung onto you and didn’t let you go;

Your true colors more and more really showed.

You have a gift of using a very nice person like me.

But sadly, I was too nice and just couldn’t see.

My friend saw all that in you, but I stood by your side.

She kept warning me that you’ll take me for a ride.

I had so much faith in you and believe you’re getting it together.

But now I am rethinking you may never.

You have people helping you out the best they can do.

If it wasn’t for Dave, would you have a job to go to??

If you keep doing what you’re doing day after day.

Everyone will get tired of your BS and tell you to go the hell away.

You make promises here and there, but always break them.

Very sad when there are a bunch of us going out on a limb.

I moved on to a very nice, wonderful and established gentleman.

Who will treat me like a beautiful, wonderful woman who deserves a real man.

I don’t believe deep down inside that you’re a bad guy.

You just need to focus on what’s important and what’s not and not to lie.

Some advice from me to you, please do all of us a favor and stop copping an attitude.

It’s not acceptable or will be tolerated, it’s just completely rude.

We all know life is never easy, but we have to make the best of it.

There are some days I get so disgusted and just wanna quit.

Yet I keep on moving forward and totally believe in me.

I am so thankful for what I have, I’m so happy to be me.

At times, you drained me mentally and sucked out all of my positive energy.

I wanted to run sometimes from you and be free.

For all that you’ve been through, your attitude, your actions, your lies.

You should seek some good counseling to help you out so you’ll try.

Try to become a better person and learn to treat others with respect.

Then maybe your life will fall into place someday I can bet.

Thanks, Hon. I wrote this for an ex-friend of mine. I give everybody a chance even though they mess up and wind up behind bars, but this guy just didn\’t care to get his life together. When he hit the third strike, he was out of my life :-)
