Jezebel is the name of a princess of Baal in biblical times. I feel as if she is also a spirit that resides in the bodies of many women. This is a poem I wrote about a woman whom I felt had the spirit of Jezebel within.
how can you love someone, who
brings you nothing but trouble?
thought her love for you was true
then breaks your heart to rubble
it’s nothing but the devil-
in beautiful disguise
you know she lies,
but it doesn’t matter when you’re between her thighs
looking all in her eyes
your soul’s are intertwined
say she love spending time,
but you don’t know what’s in her mind
trying to keep all of hers, and take all of mine?
no baby, get your purse, see ya, hope you’ll be fine
I bought my heart a hearst
for all these simple dimes
they feel your every verse
and quote your every line,
’cause to me, they all perverse
that’s why they get no time
not trying to be absurd
just be like that sometimes
so hit the road-back, back, back to the door
don’t turn around, or look back
no wan’ see you no more
that’s how it all unfolds
that’s why no love to h**s
so as the saying goes…
you can kiss my a**hole
