Sandara Park…TOP’s fan.

Sandara sat up on her bed, and yawned. “Morning!” She chirpily greeted Eric Mun’s picture on her bedside table and stretched. “Morning, sweety!” She mumbled sleepily. Greeting her celebrity crush has been a habit and sort of giving her an extra perk in the morning.

Shinhwa has always been her favorite group. Well, actually she became their fan when she got to know them personally after their photoshoot. Eric Mun the leader though said to be a man of few words, but when he opens his mouth he spouts all the funny lines in the world. Then there’s Dongwan, he wouldn’t be the witty guy for nothing…then JunJin, the dancing machine—though she sees him more of a gag man, then HyeSung, who she swear to have the most soothing voice and the most gentleman in the world, then of course last would be the shy guy himself, Andy Lee.

Sandara yawned and turned to looked at her roommate’s bed.

As expected, HyoYeon, her roommate has already left. Now the reality dawned in to her, she was going to start her college life without her friends. Thought she can easily jibed in Fashion Designing like her friends, but her heart really goes for Architecture.

She stretched before throwing her legs over the bed and walked into the small bathroom and fully woke herself up with a cold shower. She put on her usual clothes, a dab of makeup, squirted on perfume and brushed her hair before she covered it a pink bandana. Then she walked out the door.

Sandara passed by her friends’ classroom and found them looking bored. It’s kind of funny that she was supposed to be right inside that class, sitting with them…bored alongside them. Technically most of the minor subjects are a boring, except with Math.

But it has always been her dream to be an Architect.

She sighed as she was heading towards her locker. It was a good thing that she dumped all the books last night at least she would be looking like a juggler carrying those books in the morning. She felt eyes were following her and she didn’t turn and looked at them. She was used to be in the spotlight.

A beautiful girl probably same year as she was in stopped spraying her body with body spray and smiled nervously at her, she smiled back easily. The girl looked totally shocked.Sandara, too. Okay, maybe she woke up in the bright side of the bed.

Sandara walked by with her Fendi on her hands; while walking down the halls looking for locker 919.

She glanced everywhere while observing the students around her. To the left of Sandara, two students were making out and touching each other stopped groping as the boy saw her watching bluntly.

“This is a school, people. Go and get yourself a room.” Sandara scolded as she looked grossed out. The two ran away and never looked back.

She finally found her locker where another couple was making out. “Come on!” She exasperatedly threw her hands in the air. “Seriously?!” Now, she looked more of a girl who’d been dragged out from the bed. “People!”

The two students stopped kissing and looked at Sandara, “sorry.”

Sandara watched as the couple walked away, guilty. She switched her purse on the other shoulder. Without noticing, she slammed open her locker and hit the head of the student beside her.

TOP grunted as he stepped into the entrance hallway with everyone at their lockers and people jogging down the hallways to their classes and friends. Girls all put on their make-up and fixed their hair.

It’s not that he detested girls taking care of themselves but wasn’t it too extreme them doing these things in public?

What about the rest room provided for them?

Can’t they do it in front of the mirror inside the lavatory?

He sighed then before he could open his locker one loud…

PLANK!

TOP swore he felt his brain just being thrown on the sides of his skull.

“So this was the result of him silently cursing girls, eh?” He thought as he closed his eyes while rubbing his head. Hopefully his brain was still going to work after this.

“What was that?” Sandara was frowning then she turned around just then she realized students in the hallway vanished. “Where the heck are they?” She asked herself. Then she heard a low groan beside her.

She gasped.

She hurriedly closed the door and was shocked it was TOP placing his hand on his head.

TOP?

What’s he doing here?

She checked the locker beside her and was shocked that the door was slightly opened and her locker door dented.

She was about to touch his hand then stopped in midway.

There are many possibility words that were running her head that might make TOP not knock her brains out in revenge. Start by saying sorry, rub the sore part of his head, offer to pay damages, pull him to his feet and brush off the dirt on his pants and the lists goes on and on.

But she heard herself mumbled, “oops.”

Oops?!

Damn it, that wasn’t on the list. But all she could get herself to do was stare wide-eyed at the poor TOP with her hands covering her mouth.

TOP heard that. He opened his eyes and he grimaced as he realized it was Sandara who almost make his skull spill his brain out and all she said was “Oops”?

What’s freaking wrong with her brain?!

Sandara knew she was in a big trouble as she watched TOP’s expression changed. She knew she had to apologize but she was not herself now. Her brain simply shut down. No information registered yet… Weren’t there something on her head few seconds ago?

“Oops?!” TOP’s blood shot up to his already swollen brain. She didn’t even have the curiosity to say “sorry”. He unintentionally studied Sandara.

She was wearing a hot pink bandana covering the top of her head, a long stretchy white t-shirt with neon splatters and black short shorts. It was very grunge, yet fab.

“TOP, not the right time to admire her get up.” TOP murmured to himself.

“Ok fine. Sorry.” She said as she opened her locker that made TOP shift his position to avoid be hit the second time. “Happy?”

What’s wrong with your head, Sandy?” Sandara mentally scolded herself.

Sandara knew it’s her fault and saying sorry has never been a problem for her. But she can’t understand why she wasn’t herself whenever TOP’s around. It’s not that she’s not used to having gorgeous and hot male around her.

Oh, no not her.

But there’s just something about him that made her feel all giddy.

It may sound strange but she has always been TOP’s fan.

Fan.

She’s Eric Mun and Shinhwa’s fan, too, right?

But being TOP’s fan was way different.

Eric Mun was a celebrity kind of admiration she has. But with TOP…it’s different; hard to explain though.

TOP has always been her favorite player from the exclusive high school boys. His personality was calm and he wasn’t the kind of guy who’s spotlight hunger.

TOP has the heart as beautiful as his face. It was his heart and his determination that brought the championship home for the first time. And it was the same heart that put him and his friends in the status they’re in.

With that he earned her respect. But—

Why was she acting all pinkberryy with him then? Wasn’t she supposed to be friendly?

“If you’re not Leeteuk’s sister I wouldn’t let this incident go.” He sighed. “How could a good guy have a Barbie doll sister?” He murmured still nursing the bruised area.

TOP just answered her question.

Sandara paused what she was doing and simply closed her eyes. She knew she deserved what he just said. She’s a Barbie doll.

The reason she was hesitant in being friendly with TOP was because of her image. Wasn’t it Gyuri introduced her and her friends in her own words? It may be half lies but as long as he judged her because of what she said, then so be it.

She shouldn’t be making a big fuss about this, right?

Besides she’s used to this already right?

All that mattered was that TOP and his friends will help SJU win championship before her older brother Leeteuk graduate. That’s the only thing she wanted Leeteuk to experience—winning the 1st Championship while he’s a Captain Ball.

TOP’s right. Leeteuk’s a great guy – a cool brother.

She sighed.

But why was she on the verge of crying?

Damn!

She’s no cry baby.

After arranging the books she pulled it out and closed the locker simply walked away. But before she could leave TOP she said, “Whatever Gyuri said…” She paused and took a deep breath, “All she said is true. Whatever it is.” Then she romped off, leaving TOP behind alone in the hallway.

Alone…

And yeah, guilty.

Sandara just gotten out from her classes and went towards the cafeteria where Yuri and the rest were waiting. Second day of school wasn’t bad. She admitted to herself. Aside from the fact that she proved the teachers and her classmates that she wasn’t a no-brainer leader of the Barbie dolls, she enjoyed the classes, thank you very much. She was glad that Ms. Fung wasn’t as boring as yesterday.

She was doubly glad that she was able to mum Gyuri from their impromptu debate about Beauty versus Brain in English class; which obviously she was tasked to defend the Beauty side.

“Hi, girls.” Sandara greeted them as she sat beside HyoYeon. How’s your day?” She asked as she sipped Yuri’s soda.

Yuri smiled. “Aren’t we supposed to ask you that?”

Tiffany giggled, “How’s life without us?”

Sandara frowned. “I miss you, guys, actually.”

Hero walked into the stuffy lunchroom and went to sit at the table where TOP, Hyun Joong, DongHae and Chan were sitting, until he noticed a girl walk into the cafeteria in a regal manner.

He nudged TOP and pointed into the girl’s direction. “Sandara’s so pretty.” He stated, staring at the girl.

TOP in an instinct touched the head where it just being kissed forcefully by Sandara’s locker door. That morning incident with her was keeping him dazed and all. It was just fortunate of him that the professors were busy talking and so not in the mood to call out students.

Chan smiled. “Ooh! The girls are just behind us.” Then he punched DongHae.

“What?!” DongHae was startled.”What’s that punch for you freak!”

“Why didn’t you inform that they are sitting behind our table?” Chan answered.

DongHae was confused. “I don’t remember you ask me to inform you every time these Barbie girls are around. And I thought all your head is food and …oh yeah food.”

TOP watched and was sure that Sandara had no clue that she was being watched by their group. He looked around. Actually the word “no clue” wasn’t the right one but it should be “well aware” but she looked so well used to being watched…always on the spotlight.

He bitterly gulped down the soda and continued eating his lunch.

“Hi, girls.” He heard Sandara greeting her friends and plopped down regally beside her friend.

Just when did he ever have a scary super hearing power? He squeezed his super hearing power off but he can’t.

“By the way, did I mention that Sandara’s my classmate on almost all the subjects?” DongHae innocently brought up the topic. “And also my major subject?”

Hero’s jaw dropped. “You mean, she’s taking up Architecture?”

“Yup, she’s not your ordinary Barbie doll.” DongHae concluded.

“Still a Barbie doll.” TOP scoffed, nursing slyly the bump on his head. “Clumsy Barbie Doll…”
