A little ditty sung while my youngest daughter swings on our back porch.

Hello birdies

hello sky-i

hello treetops

Here am I

Swinging with you

in the springtime

glo-ri-ous time

Here am I

Seen the lightnin’

heard the thunder

lived the dark cloud

Here am I

Been forgotten

been forsaken

nothings hurting

Here am I

Swingin’ with you

in the springtime

glo-ri-ous time

Here am I

In the sweet leave

in the blue sky

in the glory

Here am I

Hello birdies

hello sky-i

hello treetops

Here am I

Like so many lullabies, this has a mixture of childlike innocence seasoned with a dash of tragedy.
