It had been a long day at work, and both of my feet hurt.
Walking back across the shore! Then I saw something that wouldn’t be ignored!
A Starfish came leaping out the sea, it said it had something to tell me. 
I felt a little confused! This walk home wasn’t working out the way I wanted it to.
 
Told me a mermaid was in trouble, as it spoke it was surrounded by speech bubbles.
I wondered what I could do, because it’s not like it had happened to you!
Reluctant at first I went to the scene, the mermaid’s gills were looking slightly green.
Acting on instructions I gave her a kiss, and I felt almost instant happiness.
 
Found myself pulled into the sea, a magical kingdom of people sprang up to greet me.
A ring was placed on my finger, before up came some cabaret singers.
Wanted to crown me their king, and forget about the life I had recently been living.
The mermaid would always be my bride, so it was easy thing for me to decide.
