Just a Pen and Paper

Just a little short poem about the journey a pen and paper can take us on.

Just a pen and paper

And a story is born.

Is the character me or you

Or some great legend of lore.

Will he travel on bended light

Or fly a craft unseen.

Will he climb the highest mountain

Or from a cliff dive into the sea.

Could it be a tale of sorrow

Or will happiness abound.

Will the gods unleash their anger

Or will the sun just shine down.

x x x x x x x x x x x x x x

Just a pen and paper

On a journey we will go

Only imagination to guide us

My how the stories grow.

I’d like to dedicate this one to Larry Fish. I consider Larry to be a very good writer and a friend and it’s a shame he feels like he has to leave us. I guess if someone steals my work I too will be pretty upset. Thank you Larry for reading my stuff and for the wondrful comments you made on them…they did not go un-noticed. Good luck in wherever your pen taks you.
