I see them there, amongst the herd

Manipulating, contemplating

Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

They look the part; an actor on stage

Saying lines, their face a mask of stone

As they target their prey

Silent as the night, they advance

Towards their hand-picked mark

Going in for the kill

They move as one entity, one whole

As do their prey who follow their shepherd,

Blindly swimming in the sea of wool

Away from the artificial look of the beast

But alas, it is too late

For they have been cornered
