I realized the other day
I have the power to make you smile
I have the choice to give a little love
And give an extra mile
I realized that time can steal
The joy that’s in today
When I fuss and think of all in life
That hasn’t gone my way
I realized it’s not about
What I want or what I should
My ego only rises up
To test you if I’m good
I realized the treasure in
The simple ness of giving
That when we give beyond a measure
That’s when were truly living
I realize that all we have
Is what is here and now
We don’t need to understand it all
Or have answer to the how
I realized the other day
I have the chance to just let go
And experience life from day to day
Just following the flow
I realized that what I gain
And where I spend my years
Is meaningless and empty
If it’s only for my fears
